Nawaikula Falsely Accuses Prime Minister and Fiji Police Force for Harboring Families of Convicted Policemen

SODELPA MP, Niko Nawaikula has accused Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Fiji Police Force for harboring families of convicted policemen at Lautoka Police Barrack and Vomo Street.

In a Facebook post, Nawaikula claims that he was taken to Lautoka Police barracks by some concerned citizens, to show an old structure where he claims that the families of convicted policemen are taking refuge.

He says he “thinks” that the three alleged families harboring at Lautoka Police barrack and Vomo Street belong to police officers who were involved in murder of Rabaka.

He wrote in his Facebook post that the police officers are namely Penaia , Sorovi and Senitiki.

He also added that the families of the alleged police officers maybe also on “police payroll”.

FACT CHECK: Nawaikula got it all wrong

Mr Nawaikula has claimed that these three police officers were allegedly involve in torture of Sakiusa Rabaka. However, Rabaka murder trial had eight soldiers and a police officer involved – The only police officer was Patrick Nayacalagi with other eight soldiers of RFMF – Taione Lua, Jona Nareki, Ilaisa Krimavua, Ulaiasi Radike, Epeli Nadura, Ratunaisa Toutou, Joeli Lesavua, Napolioni Naulia.

    Still… Those officers murdered Vilikesa Soko.. The fact that he mentioned the wrong victim’s name does not justify the officers’ families remaining in the Officers Quarters.. There are other officers who deserve to be housed in Government Quarters paid for by the taxpayers of this country.

    Did CJF investigate the reasons why those families are still there..?? Or, has CJF converted to become the web arm of Tabloid Fiji Sun..??

    The ‘Fact Check’ stanza reeks of Jyoti Pratibha…
