Ministry of Economy will host online National Budget consultations via Facebook.
In a Facebook post on the official Fijian Government page, Ministry of Economy says that to keep building the best national budgets possible, the ministry will need to continue bringing the voices of the people to decision-making table.
The Ministry of Economy has begun preparations for the 2019-2020 National Budget and is once again calling on all Fijians to put forward their questions, ideas and feedback at our nationwide consultations.
For the first time ever, Ministry of Economy will be holding online consultations on Facebook, with special sessions dedicated to secondary students, tertiary students and the general public. During these three online sessions, the Minister for Economy will be LIVE to respond directly to questions commented under clearly identified posts on the Fijian Government Facebook page account.
The dates and times for the consultations are:
SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: 5 March 2019 12pm – 3pm
TERTIARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: 6 March 2019 5pm – 8 pm
GENERAL PUBLIC: 7 March 2019 5pm – 8pm
Each day of the consultations, the ministry will be posting a video message. Fijians can simply comment their questions, ideas and feedback under the video, and the Minister for Economy and his team will strive to answer as many questions as possible during the online consultation.
