Australian Lewis Holland Suspended Over Dangerous Tackle Against Waisea Nacuqu, Mocenacagi Steps In

Lewis Holland of Australia Sevens has been suspended following a citing by Bruce Kuklinski (Can) for a dangerous tackle against Fiji’s Waisea Nacuqu.

Judicial Officer Jim Russell (USA) considered this to be mid-range offense which carries an entry point of 6 matches.

There were no aggravating factors therefore, the Judicial Officer reduced the sanction by 3 weeks for mitigating factors.

The player is suspended for the rest of the Las Vegas 7s.

Meanwhile, Sevuloni Mocenacagi has been called in to replace injured Waisea Nacuqu for Fiji’s remaining matches at the HSBC Las Vegas 7s at the Sam Boyd Stadium, Las Vegas.

Fiji faces New Zealand in Cup Quarterfinal at 1.46 PM after losing to Australia in the poll match.
