Mr Indula Ratnayake Sworn in as a new Resident Magistrate

The Fijian Judiciary welcomed another addition to its rank following the swearing in of resident magistrate at the State House today.

Resident Magistrate Indula Ratnayake was officially sworn-in by the His Excellency, the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote.

Mr Ratnayake holds a Masters of Law Degree in International Trade Law, Private International Law and Intellectual Property from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

He also graduated with a Bachelors of Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka in 2007.

He has worked as Attorney at Law at the Attorney General’s Department in Sri Lanka and also served as State Counsel in 2011.

Chief Justice, Anthony Gates and Chief Magistrate, Usaia Ratuvili, were also present at the swearing in ceremony.
