Flood Warning Issued, Water Levels Continue to Rise in Ba and Rakiraki

The flood warning remain in force for low lying areas, areas adjacent to small streams and downstream of major rivers in the Rakiraki Town and Tavua at Nasivi.

Level at Rakiraki town station was 3.83m at 3.40pm which is 0.21m above warning level and increasing; Water level at Tavua at Nasivi station was 2.75m at 3.40pm which is 0.25m below warning level and decreasing.

Flood alert a flood alert is now in force for low lying areas adjacent to small stream and downstream of Ba FSC river. Level at Ba FSC river was 3.31m at 3.40pm which is 0.19m above alert level and increasing.

Situation: a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the group. Associated cloud and rain affects the country.

 Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group.
