Airport Workers Allegedly Stole Belongings of Russia Sevens Side Players

It is alleged that the airport workers at the Nadi International Airport stole belongings of players from Russia 7s side while they were departing from Fiji to Hong Kong.

The Russian side coached by maestro Waisele Serevi came to Fiji to participate in Marist Sevens at an aim to prepare for the Honk Kong Sevens this weekend.

It is alleged that the staff stole clothes, cleats, runners, and speakers which belonged to the players of the Russia Sevens side.

“If you were working at the Airport in Nadi that day when the Russian team flew out and are one of the people that pulled this dumb s**t you should be ashamed of yourself,” said the daughter of Russian coach Waisele Serevi in a Facebook post.

The Russia Red and Russia Blue side were using the 43 Fiji Bitter Marist 7s as a learning and development platform to prepare for Hong Kong sevens.

Serevi said their participation in this year’s Marist 7s is to expose his players to the atmosphere of rugby in Fiji.
