Expect More Heavy Rain and Flooding: Fiji Met

A heavy rain warning remains in force for the eastern and southern half of Viti Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group,Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

Situation: 
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the group. Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind flow prevails over the country.

Forecast:
For the eastern and southern half of Viti Levu (from Rakiraki, Tailevu, Nausori, Suva, Navua to Korolevu including the interior), Lau and Lomaiviti group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands:

Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.

Rain has temporarily eased. It is expected to become frequent and heavy again during the day.

Heavy falls may lead to flooding of low lying areas.
