Fiji Navy Rescues 4 From Sea in Lautoka

The Fiji Navy rescued 4 passengers on board a vessel after a report was received from an employee of the Lautoka Ports that the four were experiencing engine problems between Lautoka and Vuda Point and were drifting in another search and rescue operation.

At 9pm the 4 passengers were rescued and transported safely to the Vuda Mariner.

Mariners are advised to postpone all unnecessary travel particularly on small boats to avoid mishaps as you are not only putting your own lives in danger but that of others who will have to conduct the search and rescue operations.

Mwanwhile, the search for the two missing fishermen conducted by officers based at the Nabouwalu Police Station will continue once the weather is favorable.
