Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs Selai Adimaitoga slam dunked the two-time coup leader, Sitiveni Rabuka during the 2019-20 Budget Debate.
She said that the attempt by Leader of Opposition, Sitiveni Rabuka is a weak and pathetic attempt to create division in the Fiji First Party.
“The Hon Leader of Opposition loves to bring up his past when it comes to rugby and omitting the Queen, but heaven forbid, if someone mentions his failure, all of a sudden the past is bad,” she said.
Hon Adimaitoga made these comments following Rabuka calling on government to move away from National Bank of Fiji saga after he collapsed it during his time as coup leader of Fiji.
She also called out Rabuka for bringing up race and ethnicity in all discussions saying that it is not a sign of a true leader that he claims to be.
“He warned the Hon PM that the Hon AG is a political liability. He also stated as usual referring to ethnicity and race. This is not a sign of a true leader of the 21st century.”
“This is a weak and pathetic attempt to cause division within FijiFirst that will never work because we are strong as a team.”
“Hon Speaker, we all know the problems he is facing within SODELPA and yet has the nerve to look at this side of the floor. What a joke!” she said.
The Minister says that she fully supports the budget and commends the Minister for Economy for a responsible budget.
