“If you damage Fiji Roads Authority infrastructure, expect a stern-sounding letter demanding payment of the damages.”
This was announced by Fiji Roads Authority on their Facebook page today.
The Fiji Roads Authority will now demand road users to pay for any damages caused to their properties if found damaging it.
“When we have a police report, witness or identification of the vehicle involved in damaging the property, we work with the Land Transport Authority to identify the person responsibly and then a bill is sent to them to be paid within an allocated time.”
The cost will vary depending on the damages sustained.
Fiji Roads Authority has advised road users to be responsible and not vandalise the assets and drive within the speed limits at all times.
