Fijians will have to dig deep in their pockets come Monday after Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission reviewed and set a new price for fuel and LPG.
The Consumer watchdog says the increase in prices is mainly determined by the movement in the international prices for Petroleum and LPG products therefore the prices will rise from next week.
The price of motor spirit will increase from $2 to $2.18 per litre and the Premix is set to rise to $2.02 per litre from $1.84.
A litre of Kerosene will now cost $1.62 from previously $1.54 per litre.
The price of diesel will increase from $1.82 to $1.89 per litre.
In LPG prices, a 4.5 kg cylinder will now cost $13.46 from $12.89, 12 kg cylinder from $34.37 to $35.89, 13 kg cylinder from $37.23 to $38.88 and Bulk gas from $2.41 per kg to $2.52 per kg.
Auto Gas will rise from $1.62 to $1.69 per litre .
