Fiji Roads and Suva City Council Approves FTUC Protest

The Fiji Roads Authority and Suva City Council has given approval to Fiji Trades Union Congress for a protest march in Suva.

The Fiji Roads Authority gave its approval for a protest march from the Suva flea market to Sukuna Park a week ago.

Approval from the Suva City Council came in today giving a green light for the Fiji Trades Union Congress to use Sukuna Park for the Saturday August 10th protest rally.

Fiji Police Force is yet to issue a approval for the protest.

FTUC says that it will be 7 days on July 19th after all requirements have been met for application to police.

They added that they have been calling the Divisional Police Commander’s office daily for follow ups.
