Two Parliament Staff Allege They Were Forced to Resign

Civic Educator Iliesa Raiduduva and Wise an editor and cameraman for the Parliament of Republic of Fiji say that they were forced to resign.

Mr Raiduduva and Mr Wise allege that they were forced to resign from their position at the Parliament following the video that leaked showing Prime Minister of Fiji Voreqe Bainimarama manhandling NFP Member of Parliament Pio Tikoduadua.

Cameraman and Editor Wise while talking to Opposition Whip Lynda Tabuya in a video says that he’s back in the village caring for his two daughters.

Iliesa is now manning his elderly mother’s stall at Nakasi market.

It is believed that Mr Raiduduva and Wise had recorded the video which showed Mr Bainimarama shoving Pio Tikoduadua in the Parliament precincts.

The video was leaked by an anti-government CoupFourPointFive Facebook page and had gone viral in Fiji and around the world within hours of release.

Meanwhile, Pio Tikoduadua was slapped with a six month suspension yesterday following the recommendations from the Privilege Committee.

Prime Minister escaped suspension after delivering speech to a empty Parliament chamber.

The Fijian Parliament is yet to comment on this matter.
