GoFundMe has threatened to shutdown the campaign run by Opposition Whip Lynda Tabuya for the two terminated staffs of the Fijian Parliament.
On her Facebook page, Lynda Tabuya posted that she had received an email from GoFundMe threatening to shut down her campaign after the website received several complaints regarding the collection.
She says that she will contest the decision of the website.
Civic Educator Iliesa Raiduduva and Wise an editor and cameraman for the Parliament of Republic of Fiji say that they were forced to resign.
Mr Raiduduva and Mr Wise allege that they were forced to resign from their position at the Parliament following the video that leaked showing Prime Minister of Fiji Voreqe Bainimarama manhandling NFP Member of Parliament Pio Tikoduadua.
Cameraman and Editor Wise says that he’s back in the village caring for his two daughters while Iliesa manages his elderly mother’s stall at Nakasi market.
Secretary General of the Parliament says that Iliesa and Wise breached neutrality by making copies of the videos and releasing it on social media.
